For me, Fall is the lipstick season. It’s when it’s (finally) acceptable to wear deeper shades on your lips and to experiment with colors. I have realized after picking out my favorite lipsticks from my collection to bring to my apartment that I mostly own ‘Fall’ shades of lipsticks. Here are some of my favorites and most-worm Autumnal lipsticks.
This is a new one in my collection (you can check out my Colourpop haul here) and it got me so excited for Fall when I received it (and it was in May…). This shade is Frick’n’Frack, a perfect deep browny red. As this is a liquid lipstick and a matte formula, it dries down completely and assures that the color won’t budge for hours. I find that my lips (as with many lipsticks… damn it lips) can feel dry after a few hours so I usually put a little bit of lip balm on top and I’m good to go for a few more hours.
This raspberry shade is a perfect color. It makes your face look more awake and the makeup look deeper if that makes sense. I love the formula of these liquid lipsticks (see review here) as they don’t dry out my lips and last for pretty much the entire day.
My new favorite. I have a whole review on this that you can check it out here, but in short this lipstick has the best long-lasting non-drying formula and such a good range of colors.
Same as for Prague, you can check out the review, this one has been my go-to lately when I haven’t been wearing the Bourjois one. It’s such a perfect bright but not too bright raspberry color. I am just obsessed.
This one is more of a pink-purple nude. Though it is a matte color is it not drying on the lips and lasts for a few hours without needing touch-ups. I like it on days where I wear a deeper eye-makeup look but still want some color to complete the look and it works perfectly.
This one is a classic. The perfect deep purple, close to Prague but slightly lighter and more pink. I love the bullet of this as it makes applying really easy and the formula is not too drying and lasts for a long time.
This is the nudest of them all as it is more of a tint. I love the color it leaves on my lips when I want a more natural makeup look or when I have a deep makeup look.
Which lipstick do you consider your ‘go-to’ autumnal shade?
