When I think that I used to wear a 10-step makeup look everyday, I honestly wonder hat happened to me. Now I’m all about the easy natural makeup look. 7 minutes top, usually 3 minutes are spent doing my makeup. I’ve been working from home since November and since then it’s very relaxed in the makeup department. I usually only wear makeup on days I’m filming, taking photos or going out. On working-from-home days, I don’t bother. It’s one less step at night, it allows my skin to breathe and gives me a few extra minutes in the morning. Now that we’re on lockdown, I’ve found myself doing my makeup most days. It helps me to feel more normal and a little (keyword here) more productive. I don’t know, I feel more put-together than wearing a sweater with no bra and joggers and a bare face? No explanation for that.
I’ve been doing pretty much the same makeup look for the past few weeks and I love it. Super easy, quality products and doesn’t require x amount of tools. I mostly use my fingers and in 3 minutes I’m good to go!
Base
My base routine is only composed of 3 steps. I start by using either the Honest Beauty cream foundation lightly, focusing only on area where I’d like some coverage and also using it under the eyes. I’ll then use a blush for some color on my cheek. I either dab the RMS Beauty Lip2Cheek cream blush in Spell, or Glossier Dusk or Puff on the apples of my cheek before using the Glossier Haloscope in Quartz to highlight. I find this combination to be natural and glow-y thanks to all the cream products. I have oily skin but these products don’t make me overly oily.
Eyes
For my eyes, it’s super simple. I decided whether I want to wear a cream eyeshadow or an eyeliner. RMS Beauty eye polish in Lucky, a gorgeous metallic copper, or the Glossier Color Slide eyeshadow pencil in Magic Carpet which is a beautiful a ‘metallic jam’ shade. Then I curl my lashes and apply my favorite mascara – the Glossier Lash Slick.
Brows
Super simple. I run through my brows using the Glossier Boy Brow in brown and I’m good to go!
Lips
Most days, I only put some Homéoplasmine on my lips but some days I’ll make an effort and wear either the Glossier Generation G lipstick in Jam or Leo.
