I realized last week that the condition of my skin really depends on the skincare that I use on a weekly basis to clean and detoxify it so I wanted to share with you the masks that I always have on hand.
The first one is a long-time favorite, it’s the Simple Kind To Skin Deep Cleansing Face Mask.
It’s a white very smooth, almost mousse-y textured paste that you apply on your dry face after removing your makeup. You leave it for 3 minutes then rince off, and you have a refreshened clean face that looks way brighter the next morning (if you do it at night). It costs £3,99, so about 4,60 euros, about $5, a real bargain for a product that can last for a few months. I use it once to twice a week depending on my skin and the weather. It does not dry it out or irritate the skin in the slightest and I have a really sensitive skin.
The second product is a french brand of face mask but the concept can be found anywhere I think, it’s the Argile natural purifying mask with green clay.
It’s a natural clay mask. The consistency is very funny because it’s a very cooling paste with very teeny tiny pieces of clay in it (which works as an exfoliant so that’s great). You apply it on a clean dry face, you can apply either a thin layer if you want it to dry more quickly or a thicker layer if you really want the deep cleansing option that will take more time to dry but will clean the skin more thoroughly (for my sensitive skin friends out there, I would recommend not waiting for the clay to dry completely before removing it as I find that it reddens my skin a bit). It works wonders and really leave you with a feeling of freshness on your face that is really appreciated. The tube is absolutely huge and was around 11 euros but I got it for 8 so about £9,40 and about $12. I use it twice a week and my skin looks more glowy and clear right after (even my mom noticed so that’s a sign!).
The last mask that I used is the Super Facialist Salicylic Acid Anti Blemish Clay Mask.
This is also used on a dry cleansed face. It is a “detoxifying mask to unclog pores and let skin breath” as mentioned on the tube. This product is quite unusual as from the moment you apply it you can right feel a tingling feeling on your face. The first time I applied it I was so scared that it was irritating my skin because of the tingling sensation but it just feel like it just cleanses everything, your skin feels hot and fresh at the same time, you can see after rinsing it off that your face looks more fresh, restored ans super clean. My advice for rinsing it off is to use circle motions and to keep doing it even after everything is off that way you know that there is no more product on your skin and you get a little massage which is also a great thing! It contains salicylic acid which is amazing for oily and acne prone skin as it loosens blackheads and blemishes, reduces oil and even discoloration from previous breakouts. This was £9,99 (but there was a discount on Superdrug so I got it for £6,66) so about 11,7 euros and $13.
Those are affordable effective masks that you can find either in stores or online.
Hopefully you discovered some of them or it helped you to know a bit more about an agent in them and maybe try to them out!
Have an amazing day and week!
I hope you enjoyed !
