My apartment is not the best for storage or practicability this year. Therefore, I have to have a system concerning my makeup so everything has a place and I know where to get things. As I cannot store my makeup in the bathroom nor the living room, the two rooms where I can do my makeup, what I do is that I have a drawer in the bedroom where I have a separation box where I keep my makeup and a makeup bag where I keep the products I use on an everyday basis.
I keep in the makeup bag what I use several days in the row and before doing my makeup, open the makeup drawer to see what I want to use that day that changes everyday.
What I’ve noticed for the past few weeks is that I have very often reached for the same products this month and here they are…
The Collection Lasting Perfection concealer is a must have for me. I discovered this 2 years ago while studying in the UK and hearing every Youtuber and Blogger talking about it and boy, it didn’t disappoint me. It has so much coverage for such an affordable price and the tube lasts for age – but don’t keep it for too long it starts to oxidize afterwards and the consistency is weird, but for this price might as well by a new tube.
The blush I have been using pretty much non-stop ever since I bought it is the Tarte amazonian clay 24h blush in risqué. The color is fantastic and looks super natural, it blends like a dream and stays on all day.
Lately, all I’ve been wearing on my eyes are Kiko eyeshadows. Of course, the Kiko long-lasting 8-hour transfer proof eyeshadow sticks have been put to the test and are still very much reached for. The colors are stunning and I love the fact that they can create a soft look as well as a deeper look. The other is the High Pigment wet and dry eyeshadows in 07 matte dark brown for the crease mainly and 49 Pearly Warm Brown. As their name suggests they are super pigmented and blend very easily. They stay on very well and don’t crease too much which my hooded eyes appreciate.
I am very picky with highlighter but one I’ve stuck to lately is the ELF Baked Blush in Pinktastic. I know, it is supposed to be a blush but I find that it doesn’t have enough pigmentation and too much shine for a blush, however, it is perfect as a highlighter. As it is a baked product, you can use it either dry or wet depending on the look you want.
For lips, it’s very easy, I’ve pretty much only ever reached for the NYX soft matte lip cream in San Paulo or the Bourjois Rouge Velvet the Lipstick in 05 Brick à Brack. I love both formulas and colors so much and am obsessed with their lasting power.
I always finish it off with the NYX matte finish setting spray and though it is titled “matte” it doesn’t make my look matte but rather keep the shine at bay throughout the day. Because yes, it is still 23°C-27°C here in Grenoble and it is very hot in the classroom.
Which products have you reached for the most in October?
