The first month of the year is gone, already or finally, I’m not sure. One one side, it has gone very quickly (thank goodness) but on the other, it was a bit to long for my liking.
A slow start to the year
The start of the year started with another week of holiday. It made me so happy to spend time with my family, watching series and going on walks. I felt refreshed and happy. The last 4 days of that week were spent blogging all day long and it felt so good. I was so inspired, productive and didn’t see the time pass. Those few days really made me feel even more confident about the fact that my place was not in a 9-5 job, but doing something creative, on my own terms.
Ever since that moment, I have felt a shift inside of me, to give blogging my all and to work as hard as possible. I spend more hours that ever creating content and I absolutely love it. It’s my favorite moments of the week.
Back to work
The first week back at work was brutal. Going back to my working routine was a bit difficult. I kept watching the time wishing I could be blogging instead. I did the best to look at the bright side of it (read: paycheck and a couple colleagues I consider friends). However, I was very happy to go back to the gym. After two weeks away from the gym I had missed my instructor very much. She is a bundle of energy and positivity and I enjoy her workouts so much no matter how challenging they are.
This new boost of blogging love made me want to spend as much time as possible doing something creative. I spend hours during the week taking photos, editing them, writing, planning, organizing and every week I wish I could spend more time doing just that.
January really was the definition of a new year month : feeling inspired and working toward my goals.
What’s up February?
I’m quite happy about the fact that February is the shortest month of year. It means spring will be here soon and I can’t wait.
Because I haven’t had much time to read in January, I want to try to organize my time better so that I can read more. Though I read every night before going to bed, there are a lot of books I want to be able to read this month.
I also want to try new recipes this month. I’ve been experiencing more that ever in January (again, more on that in a later post) and I’ve loved it. The change of flavors have made me so excited for the next meals. I have saved up a few recipes on Bloglovin and my saved posts on Instagram so I’ll keep you updated.
I also took a week off work for the last week of the month and though it’s going to be a tough one, I’m looking forward to sleeping in a little and spending time inside all day long.
