My recommendation list: January

January is finally over, yay! Who actually enjoys this first month of the year? I feel great the first 10 days, revitalized by all my plans for the year ahead and what I want to do and change and then I crash. It’s grey, rainy or snowy, there is no light and I struggle to get out of bed every damn day.

But it’s done, and there were a few highlights in term of what I enjoyed. So here they are, the little things that helped me get through each dark day.

Beauty

A makeup product that has definitely made each day better is the Giorgio Armani Luminous silk foundation. I can always count on it to make me look way more awake and healthy, even when I feel dead inside.

Skincare-wise, the Pai Rosehip Bioregenerate oil has been what my skin was craving. It nourishes my skin without ever feeling greasy. The new essential step in my skincare routine.

Song

I’ve really been into Imagine and 7 rings from Ariana Grande (we are seeing her in concert in late August and I can’t wait!), Be My Mistake from the 1975 and I’ve loved the latest songs from Ashely Tisdale.

Fashion

My new coat from Pinkie is definitely a massive favorite of the month of January. It’s been so cold lately that being able to feel warm in this fluffy coat has been the dream.

TV show

I have a few. Of course ‘Friends’ is amongst them. This show is the highlight of my mornings. I always watch an episode whilst eating breakfast and it never fails to make me smile or laugh, even on the hardest days.

The other one is You. I wasn’t sure I’d watch it but it’s very different from what I thought it would be in some ways and I’ve been addicted from episode 1. I like that it’s set in New York, it’s fun to see Penn Badley in a completely different character type as in Gossip Girl and I really like the actress who plays Beck. I’m not done yet so no spoilers!

Book

My fave books of the month have to be The New Fashion Rules by Victoria Magrath aka Inthefrow, An Edited Life by Anna Newton aka TheAnnaEdit and The F word by Lily Pebbles. I’ve been waiting for them for so long and for good reasons. I know I’m going to learn so much more from reading them. I’ve only had time to read a few bits but I’ve loved them.

Moment

I thought I would change it up and think of the memory of a moment I really liked in the past month. I think the weekend of the 26th-27th was a solid favorite. It felt so good to spend the entire weekend being productive, sleeping, chilling and spending time with my boyfriend. I was truly happy the entire weekend.

Next post is actually a diet post so I won’t go into too much detail but I’ve been loving having a good oatmeal, chia seed, cinnamon and peanut butter breakfast. It’s what I look forward to every morning when I open my eyes. It’s so tasty and filling!

Blogposts

I’ve sorted out which blog I follow at the beginning of January and now ever time I open Bloglovin (you can follow me there here). These bloggers always have banging content and make me feel so inspired. Here are a few that I’ve absolutely loved:

Bella Inizio – Can your photos be too edited?

The little plum – Who is “my woman”?

Jodie melissa – The reality of being in a long-distance relationship

Lydia Elise Millen – New year, better me

From roses – Why I think 2019 will be an awesome year to be a blogger

Beth Sandland – 25 things I’ve learned in my first month of backpacking

What are your recommendation from the first month of 2019?
