The Pai Rosehip Oil: how does it perform?

‘The product really looks orange, will I end up looking like an Oompa Lompa if I use this oil?’ is the first thought that came into my mind when I looked at this product. And that the bottle really looks cute.

Judging a product by its packaging is bad, Gaby.

Don’t worry, I didn’t stop there. I was so excited to try this! I had been looking for an oil as the wind and the frost were really starting to make me look like a badly peeled orange in the morning, before the natural oils kick in.

And boy it did not disappoint me. Let’s do this in order, shall we?

Pai rosehip bioregenerate oil 2-2

The packaging

For some reason – probably for how scientific it looks – I really wanted a dropper. They look so cool and I love that it dispenses the perfect amount of product. The bottle has this gorgeous feel to it and I love that you can see the color of the product so that you know how much left you have.

Pai rosehip bioregenerate oil 5-2

The formula

It’s very liquid – hence the dropper and well, it’s an oil. It feels like water pretty much and it’s super easy to apply and blend (and you don’t look orange). It sinks it within a few minutes. It does have a very… natural smell? Well it smells like natural oils so quick earthy I guess. But I actually don’t mind it, it just reminds me of the amazing natural ingredients it contains.

Pai rosehip bioregenerate oil 1-2-2What it does

Rosehip oil is well-known for its skin healing properties. This oil is highly concentrated in Omega 3, 6, 7 and 9 and with antioxydant carotenoids (hence the color orange) to deeply hydrate the skin and reduce dry areas, fine lines and scars. It also helps to repair and protect the skin “against environmental stresses and visible damage”.

This oil is aimed at all skin types bur more specifically reactive and sensitive skin. I do have both and I have to say that my skin adores this oil. I also have oily skin and it hasn’t accentuated the oiliness in the slightest. This blend helps to improve the skin’s elasticity and to clear and unify the skin tone.

For me, it has done all of this. My skin feels deeply hydrated, I have way less scaring and my feels looks clearer than it has ever looked before. I used to have a bit of dryness on the outer part of my face and that’s dealt with! I use three drops every morning and night (1 on each cheek and one on the forehead, nose and chin) and I feel so much better afterwards. Foundation applies better on the skin – I always do my skincare before eating breakfast so that it has time to sink it before applying makeup – and I don’t get dry if it’s windy or extremely cold.

Pai rosehip bioregenerate oil 6-2The price

This bottle was €28 for 30ml. Thanks to the dropper, it’s easy to get the perfect amount of product so not to “waste” product. I’ve been using it twice a day for now a month and as you can tell by the bottle which used to be completely full I have a long way to go before I need to repurchase it. For such a great product, I think it’s a great value for money.

Final thoughts?

I’m in love. I could not stop using this, I need to have it with me at all times. My skin is looking better and I notice how scars fade much quicker than before. I definitely recommend this product!

Have you tried the Pai Rosehip oil? How did you get on with it?
