My skin has never looked as good as it has recently. I think I’ve finally found the products that work for me and actually make a difference.
It’s crazy how more confident I feel when I know that my skin is looking great. I don’t mind people seeing me without makeup and I like letting it breathe without feeling self-conscious or ugly. What you eat does have an impact on how it looks, as well as how much water you drink, but products do help.
In the morning, I just cannot wake up properly if I haven’t done my morning skincare as quickly as possible. I wake up, open the windows, turn on my wifi and head straight to the bathroom.
My morning skincare routine is very simple. I wet my face with cold water to help me wake up and use the Garnier Aloe Vera Cleansing Gel to get rid of any dirt or oil excess. Then I use the l’Oréal Hydra Genius moisturizer and bam I’m done. In the sunnier months, I also put a sunscreen on after moisturizing but mine has ran out so I’ll let you know which one I will choose (any suggestions?).
My night-time skincare routine varies depending on if I’m going to the gym or if I’m going straight home. If I’m going to the gym, I’ll pack my Garnier Micellar water with me and take off my face makeup and any brow product before my workout class. I can’t stand sweating and having any face product on, plus it’s bad for the pores. If I’m not going to the gym, I’ll use either the Garnier Micellar water if I’m feeling a bit too oily, or the Caudalie Cleansing Milk if my skin needs a little soothing. After drying my face, I use the Pixi Glow tonic all over my face once every two days and on my cheeks everyday (because I have keratosis pilaris there).
Then it depends on how my skin feels. If I want to give my face a little massage and antibacterial time, I’ll do a Coconut oil mask before rinsing it off in the shower. If my skin feels a bit rough or clogged because of the heat I’ll do a deep cleanse. I’ll first use the Caudalie Deep Cleansing Exfoliator to get rid of dead skin cells and smooth everything out and then I’ll do the Caudalie Instant Detox Mask to deeply cleanse and minimize the pores. You can read my Caudalie skincare review here. For moisturizing the face, I’ll again use the l’Oréal Hydra Genius moisturizer and I’m done.
I like to keep my routine simple and to experiment from time to time with new product. Because my skin is sensitive, I try not to use too many products but rather to target the problems to bring it the skincare it needs on that specific day.
