My Goals for Spring 2018

It has been spring for the past week now and I could not have waited any longer. Time has flown by, as usual, but I am so over the cold weather and the cloudy sky! I want warm sunny days, with less layers and colorful clothing, please.

In order to make the most of spring, I’ve decided to make a list of goals for this new wonderful season so here it goes.

Be More Self-Confident

I want to be more self-self-confident. This is actually going to come in handy – if I manage to actually do it – as I will be starting my internship in a week. I am both excited and scared that I am not going to be good enough which is a bit silly as I did a speculative application to get this internship and within 72 hours, it was all done and dusted. But I always get nervous before an internship that I’m a fraud and I won’t be good enough which is probably just a good case of imposter syndrome, and it always goes well. But I want to try to trust my knowledge and capacity more so that I don’t feel afraid every time I need to take on a new task.

Get a New Good Workout Schedule

With my new working hours changing a lot my routine I will need to plan differently. I used to workout mostly during the day, but now that I’m going to have a 9-5 schedule, I’m going to have to workout after 5p.m. which scares me a bit. I’m afraid I’m going to be exhausted and it’s not going to go as well as it does now and that I won’t enjoy it as much. I’m going to try to see how it goes for the first couple weeks and then work out how to manage everything a bit better.

Blog, Engage, Promote and Repeat

Now that my school year – and College years – are over, I’m going to have more time to manage my blogging better which makes me quite happy. Again, I’m going to have to find a blogging routine so that I have everything under control and can manage anxiety which has been creeping back up for the last few days, but I think it should be fine. Once I get in a good process, everything usually goes smoothly.

Get Out of My Comfort Zone

Whether it’s clothing, makeup or photos, I always feel uncomfortable going out of my comfort zone and always run back to my old habits. This year, I’m going to do my best to try new, scary things : brighter lipsticks, no-sleeve tops and (hopefully!) outfits and makeup looks for Instagram. I’m going to do my best to beat the voices in my head.
