Who doesn’t love a good pamper session? Taking care of our skin is so important and face masks can definitely help to keep it in good condition. So when I saw that Sephora had launched new face masks I really wanted to give them a try. As I had tried their sheet masks and really liked them I thought I’d give these a try.
These masks are “a line of masks formulated with natural clay to address a variety of targeted skincare needs”. The line contains 8 different type of mask, each formulated with a different type of clay for a specific result:
The Purple Clay Mask: Moisturizes and soothes.
The Blue Clay Mask: Detoxifies and oxegenates.
The Green Clay Mask: Purifies and minimizes pores.
The Yellow Clay Mask: Revitalizes and tones.
The Red Clay Mask: Energizes and fights fatique.
The Pink Clay Mask: Unifies and brightens.
The White Clay Mask: Mineralizes and soothes.
The Grey Clay Mask: Mattifies and balances.
As I already own a detoxifying mask which is my main concern, I wanted to try something different. I decided to get the Red Clay mask and the Pink Clay mask.
Each mask is 5,95€ so $8, contains 35ml/ 1.18 fl. oz, enough for 4 uses. Actually, I’ve used it way more than that as you don’t need 1/4 of the tube at all. I’ve been using each mask once or twice a week for about 6 weeks now and still have more than half of the tube left.
The texture of these mask is so interesting , the only way I can describe it is like soft butter. When I first applied it I got a bit anxious at the tingling feeling, it felt a bit like my skin was burning but it only lasts about 30 seconds before it feels cooling on the skin.
The instructions says to apply it on dry clean skin and leave it on for 15 minutes. The masks never completely dry down and, though I have very sensitive skin, they have never inflamed or dried out my skin. Instead, it leaves my skin feeling very soft and definitely changed. The red mask leaves my skin looking less tired-looking and more awake, and the pink one makes my skin look bright and unified.
The smell of these masks is amazing, I cannot really describe it but it reminds me of the smell of cake batter. Another amazing point is that these masks are not tested on animals which is a huge plus.
I would recommend these masks over their sheet masks because I find them really good and because you get way more uses for the price. I will definitely try other masks from this range if not all of them and will report back.
Have you tried the new Sephora Clay masks? What did you think?
